CE mourns killed tourists
February 26, 2013
Chief Executive CY Leung has expressed his condolences to the families of the Hong Kong tourists killed in a hot-air balloon accident in Egypt today.
Although the travel agency involved and the Chinese Embassy in Egypt have released information on the accident, Mr Leung said he does not yet have details, and the Government will brief the public when it fully understands the situation.
The ministry will send a five-member team headed by a Deputy Director-General to Egypt to help Hong Kong people involved in the accident and their families.
The Government thanked the ministry for its swift action, adding that Immigration Department officers will accompany them to assist.
